TrekStor unveils new exclusive design family at IFA
New, eye-catching aluminum design for hard disk and USB stick
Lorsch/Berlin, 20.08.2008 – TrekStor, the leading manufacturer of high quality MP3 players, external hard disks and USB sticks, will be presenting two extremely elegantly and exquisitely designed products at this year’s IFA (29.08. - 03.09.) in Berlin, Germany, at the TrekStor Entertainment Hall 10.1: the 1.8 inch hard disk DataStation microdisk q.u and USB stick QU. Similarly to the DataStation microdisk already unveiled in January, both will be protected by a high quality aluminum design casing. The fashionable leather purse, DataStation microdisk Wallet, will also be presented as an exclusive accessory.
New DataStation microdisk q.u now smaller than a credit card
Following a 6 mm reduction in size, the DataStation microdisk q.u is the technological successor of the DataStation microdisk presented back in January. The length of the new DataStation microdisk q.u has thus been shrunk to just 8.4 cm making it smaller than a credit card (8.6 cm). It also consumes minimum power and, with its mini-dimensions of 84 mm x 57 mm x 69 mm (or 92 mm for the 120 gigabyte (GB) version), fits into any bag. The DataStation microdisk q.u is preformatted for immediate use and provides for extremely fast data transfer thanks to a hi-speed USB 2.0 interface. It is available with 60, 80 and 120 GB of storage.
New design family in eye catching aluminum casing sets revolutionary standards
The enormous appeal of the DataStation mircrodisk’s design convinced TrekStor to develop other products with the design of this DataStation and create a dedicated design line. As a result, the high speed USB stick QU - available with 4, 8 and 16 GB storage - has the same eye catching casing design as the DataStation microdisk q.u. A further highlight developed specially for the DataStation microdisk q.u is an exclusive purse which doubles as a fashionable, real leather carrying bag with many useful pockets for cash, credit cards, identity cards and the co-delivered USB adapter.

Prices and availability
The entire design family will be available from the IFA onwards. Prices vary depending on capacity: the DataStation microdisk q.u with 60 GB will thus be available for EUR 99.00, with 80 GB for EUR 119.00 and with 120 GB for EUR 149.00. The USB-Stick QU will cost EUR 14.99 EUR (4 GB), EUR 29.99 (8 GB) and EUR 54.99 EUR (16 GB). The DataStation microdisk Wallet costs EUR 39.00.
